Saith Me… Seek Solutions

Seek solutions before settling for excuses.

solutions

Solutions may not always be cure-alls, but they often are just enough to make a rough situation more bearable.

In my house, the common solution comes from simple advice.

  • Get up and move…
  • Drink a glass of water…
  • Drink a glass of juice…
  • Do something creative…
  • Get some fresh air…

Certainly the ills and woes of life are not eradicated by such simple suggestions, but they are often lessened.

Saith Me… Consistency, Clarity, and Conviction

Consistency results from clarity of information and conviction in concept.

Remaining open-minded and accepting new information is vital, but it should not lead to self-doubt. Rather, it should assist in clarification and confidence.

Conviction in concept does not mean that the concept is inherently flawless or even relatively correct. What it does mean is that there is a determination to seek more clarity of information and thereby to grow. Even if the growth comes from having a concept proven flawed or fundamentally incorrect.

The journey to greater knowledge is not enhanced by wavering or waffling. It is enhanced by consistent action and the accumulation of information. Clarity and conviction lead to consistency.

Saith Me… Exhaustion

First I laughed so hard it hurt,

Then later I cried the tears of healing,

Finally, I slept.

Saith Me… Boldly Proclaim, Wisely Reevaluate

einstein_1bIt seems human nature to boldly proclaim thoughts and opinions which are often formed from only a mere scattering of information collected.

It seems wisdom is gained from reevaluating one’s ideas after having accumulated greater information which is often derived from someone else’s bold proclamations.

Therefore wisdom is a result of both boldly proclaiming and wisely reevaluating.

Stumbling

In our pursuit for excellence, let’s never forget that we are already excellent. We are not starting from a place of failure, but rather from the exulted place from which our diligence and charitable natures has brought us thus far. Yes, we may stumble, and that stumble may make us feel low, but a stumble in itself does not make us lose ground. Rather the stumble reminds us of where we are on our journey. A stumble reminds us to take in our surroundings and reaffirm where we want to be and where we want to go.

During our journey, well-meaning people may only focus on where we need to go and minimize the importance of from where we have come. They will tell us not to dwell on the past and will tell us that we are weak for weeping. We should not wallow in frustration, disappointment, or pain, but we should always remember the struggle of our journey. It is when we remember from whence we came that we can truly celebrate where we are and where we are going.
